Welcome back to me!

Mon Dec 22, 2008, 5:42 AM
Dear, dear deviants... You are officially looking at the first journal entry in nearly four years. I know, I know... The last one was beautiful, and worth contemplating for one twenty-fifth of a century, but alas...
Nearly done with college now. Only 6 credits left until I could graduate, but like any good person who loves the pre-set system, I am of course staying longer. I feel that the University would just not be the same without me, and I really don't want to ruin that many people's lives by leaving them without me.
On a more devious note, I give you: A Devious Note!
As I have been getting back into design, I may actually be posting new things finally! Don't get your hopes up too much, though, as I am known for not following through with my plans...

  • Listening to: Nocturne in E Flat - Chopin
  • Reading: Ressurection of a Hanged Man
  • Watching: Arrested Development
  • Playing: Solitaire

man.. this whole college thing is not quite what it is cracked up to be... so far, i think i have only had two classes where i have been learning anything, and, for some odd reason, they are not the classes that i wanted to take. i only took spanish and writing becuase they are university requirements, but, i guess i just got lucky and had awesome professors.. now, on the other hand, we have all of the classes that i wanted to take, like my major requirements.. none of them have taught me anything! well, not anything useful, that is. i can now analyze folklore and urban legends to the point that they are not fun anymore, and i can look into shakespeare to the point where the language is no longer beautiful. thanks, u of o. thanks a lot. yeah.. sorry.. sometimes you just need to bitch a bit.. you know?

1984

Sun Mar 13, 2005, 4:49 PM
Wow... That was the hardest thing I think I have ever done! Last night, we closed our fantastic production of George Orwell's 1984. It was a really amasing experience. I don't think I have ever put more time, effort, pain, and sheer frustration into anything else in my entire life! I basically have lived on that stage for the past month, literally spending more time there than I did anwhere else. I worked, ate, sweated, bled, slept, (I don't think I cried, though I did come close!) on that stage. I have scars on my hands, bruises on my legs, swollen feet, but I have never felt more fulfilled then when I got to see it all come together. Last night was an absolutely wonderful performance, with only the slightest errors here and there, but my energy level was absolutely through the roof! It was fantastic! And I have never, ever had such an awesome time doing room 101 as i did last night... Ahgh! It was Awsome! And now that it's over, I'm really not sure what to do with my time... Homework? Nahh! Well, maybe... I am going to be cooped up in this house for the next few days... I got grounded for going to the cast party at a girls house... Eh, whatever... I'll survive... I'll grab a few movies and hole up in my room... maybe pretend to do a few scholarship applications... or homework... Eh... Maybe...

AHHGHH!!!!

I am really excited! So, I was just looking through the paper one day and I just happened to find out something very special... PINK MARTINI IS FINALLY RELEASING ANOTHER RECORD!!!!!! (it is entitled 'Hang on little Tomato') For most people, that means nothing, but to anyone who has ever heard and fallen in love with Pink Martini, you would understand that this is a REALLY BIG THING! Oh, and just to top it off, they are having a concert to celebrate the new release, and I think I just might be able to go to it! HELL YEAH!!! For anyone who cares, it is on Oct. 19, 2004 at 8pm, at the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall in Portland (AKA 'the Schnitz'). Tickets wil be between $15-$45... I would strongly reccommend to anyone who likes some good music and happens to be in the area to GO TO THE FRIGGIN' CONCERT! I REALLY LIKE TEXT SHOUTING! YEAH... IT, UM... WE A... I DON... HIGGITTY... Yes I'm Awesome! *runs off*

Randomness...

Fri Aug 27, 2004, 7:23 PM
A few people have mentioned to me that the Random Deviants and Random Deviation have been removed in the switch from DA3 to DA4... This, however, is not the case. It is just harder to find... If you go to your message centre, and go to Messages. On the right side, under My Account, at the bottom, you will see the new resting place of the Randomness. Have fun with that...
